Vimeo takes Timeout

"On Saturday, Oct. 18, from 11:45 p.m. to Sunday, Oct. 19 at 2 a.m. (EDT), our engineering team will be performing system maintenance to improve the quality of vimeo.com. This will make your lives better in the long run! But you may experience some slight interruptions tonight:

VIMEO PLAYER
- People will still be able to watch your videos on vimeo.com and anywhere they are embedded. However, people will be unable to like or comment on them.

ACCOUNT ACCESS
- Everyone will be logged out of Vimeo. Once the maintenance is complete, all accounts will return to their logged-in state.

VIDEO UPLOADING
- New uploads will not be possible until the site maintenance is complete, though uploads already in progress will continue. If you have an upload progressing during the maintenance window, do not attempt to change any of the settings on the page.

VIMEO ON DEMAND PURCHASES
- VOD purchases cannot be made, and purchased VOD titles cannot be accessed during this time.

VIDEO STATS
- Video Stats will be unaffected, all normal statistical data will still be recorded during this time.

API WRITE REQUESTS
- The API will become read-only while we’re working on the site. You will not be able to create, edit, delete, or interact with any API resources. Any access tokens created before the downtime will still work, and any read-only API requests will continue to work. oEmbed and the simple API will continue working as expected.

We hope to have this totally-worth-it maintenance wrapped up by 2:00 a.m. EDT on October 19. Thanks for your patience."
