Motorola launches Moto Stream: Brings Bluetooth to plain old speakers

Apart from making low-budget Android powered smartphones, Motorola is actively participating in manufacturing cool accessories for its phones. The latest is Moto Stream.

The Moto Stream allows you to make any speaker with a standard headphone-style plug into a Bluetooth-enabled one. It allows you to stream music through any speaker directly from your phone, tablet or computer. The user can  play music from the song library on the phone or launch apps like Google Play, Pandora, and Spotify. Since it’s a bluetooth accessory, it can work across platforms.

Motorola has added some social element to the speakers with the Heist Mode. Heist Mode lets you pair Moto Stream with up to five devices at the same time, allowing each device to ‘take over’ the speakers when they want, which we guess can either be a lot of fun or very annoying. The Moto Stream has a Bluetooth range of 300 feet which is more than enough for a home setup.
